We currently seek an experienced Activities Aide who worked closely with Dementia residents to serve as the Life Enrichment Assistant at St. Joseph Village of Chicago. The LEA will develop, coordinate and implements a variety of activities and events for residents in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. The LEA will foster an atmosphere of hospitality and customer service through consistent attention to resident's needs. Responsibilities Include: Lead and/or assist with group and one on one activity programs Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities Complete assessments and  progress notes necessary to be compliant with state and federal regulations Attends and participates in meetings such as care plans, in-services, resident counsel and other meetings as assigned Assist with volunteer management Maintain a neat and clean environment for residents including feeding and cleaning pets for pet therapy Foster an atmosphere of hospitality and customer service Qualified candidates must possess the following: High school Diploma or GED Certified through the state of Illinois as a Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred Current CPR certification Minimum of 1 year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant working with people with Dementia Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Energetic, professional with exceptional interpersonal skills Excellent communication & customer service skills Detail oriented Team player Compassionate understanding of eldercare We offer a full benefit package which includes: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(k) plan Short term & long-term disability Paid Time Off Plan About Franciscan Ministries: We believe in our associates and are committed to creating an environment that is supportive and nurturing of your career path.
