Overview

Position Summary

32 hours per week; full benefits; flexible scheduling; occasional evening and weekend hours required to accomodate client schedules

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides compassionate and experienced trauma-informed care to adult, youth, and child survivors of domestic violence. This role includes delivering individual and group therapy, leading trauma-responsiveness training for staff, and supervising social work interns. The LCSW’s work displays a deep commitment to empowering survivors, fostering resilience, and promoting a culture of healing and safety.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

Clinical Services

  • Provide individual psychotherapy to adult, adolescent, and child survivors of domestic violence, using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups about topics such as trauma recovery, self-esteem, parenting, and healthy relationships.
  • Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Design and deliver trauma-responsiveness training for shelter staff and volunteers to enhance understanding of trauma’s impact and promote trauma-sensitive practices.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff, offering consultation and support in managing client crises and complex cases.

Supervision & Mentorship

  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to graduate-level social work interns, ensuring alignment with academic requirements and professional development goals.
  • Facilitate reflective supervision sessions and support interns in developing trauma-informed, client-centered clinical skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Position Requirements

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program

Licenses/Certifications: Current unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Indiana

Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience in domestic violence, trauma, or crisis intervention settings as well as demonstrated experience in group facilitation and clinical supervision

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, intersectionality, and cultural humility
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Travel: Occasional travel required for community outreach or training events
