Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the business office department at our skilled nursing communitiy. The Business Office Assistant assists with financial duties in a healthcare setting as well as offering general support to the operation.
Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities
- Must have experience in a healthcare setting
- Assist in recording census changes.
- Develop, maintain and foster managed care organization contacts and relationships.
- Ensure timely and appropriate follow up of all required managed care.
- Assist in entering cash receipts accurately and timely.
- Enter ancillary and other billing transactions accurately and timely.
- Assist in coordinating accounts payable invoices.
- Support Executive Director and other management as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Position Requirements
Education: Associate’s Degree in business related field preferred.
Experience: 1+ years in a business office - healthcare setting (required)
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented.
