Alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs of residents or to improve recipes. Ensures attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving. Coordinates and participates in serving food. Monitors portion control to meet residents' requests and minimize waste. Maintains an accurate record of chargeable meals (resident, guest and catered). Submits record to the office by the designated date each month. Assists with menu planning; reviews and adjusts menus with Director of Dining to accommodate foods in season, vendor sale prices, special events and holidays. Assists in identifying food and supplies needed for the next week's menus and reports to the Dietary Manager. Prepares meats for storage and portion control upon delivery; ensures proper storage of all delivered foods and ingredients. Keep track of and order supplies. Makes accurate disbursement of residents’ trust fund. Performs clerical duties for department heads as necessary. Provides team spirit by cross training to help others within the office. You'll provide essential financial and analytical analysis not only to the communities but also to Franciscan Ministries (FM). Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with the communities and the FM team to implement changes to processes, standards, and policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
